    With its compact historic center and scenic path along the top of the defensive walls, Lucca is a delightful spot to explore by bike. With this guided tour, set off on two wheels to take in the highlights of the city, touching on the most picturesque squares, storied churches, and monuments like the Roman amphitheater, towering Guinigi Tower, and picturesque Via del Battistero, famous for its antique shops.

  • 12th of June - Self-guided Bike Tour from Lucca to Pisa

    This self-guided bike tour allows travelers to explore country roads between Lucca and Pisa on their way to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Follow a 20-mile (33 kilometers) route on dirt and asphalt backcountry roads around the Monti Pisani hills. A little over the halfway mark, stop for a break in San Giuliano Terme’s charming central square. Return to Lucca on a direct bike route or short train ride.

You'll visit the local market with your Cesarina host, who will teach you all about how to select the best ingredients with the seasons. Then, you'll return to their home, warm up with an Italian Aperitivo and enjoy the class. You'll learn how to make one iconic Pasta type, typical of the city you are visiting, and the famous Tiramisu. After the class, you will enjoy everything you've prepared with local wines.
