To make the most of this unique celebration, we recommend arriving the weekend before the event. Please note that Schloss Leopoldskron will be closed until February 2, 2025, and will reopen on February 3, 2025. For your convenience and to fully experience the charm of Salzburg, we suggest staying in the heart of the city during this initial weekend. Getting to Salzburg
By Air: Salzburg's W.A. Mozart Airport (SZG) serves as the gateway to the city, with direct flights from major European cities. Upon arrival, you can reach the city center via taxi, bus, or rental car, all available at the airport.
For our guests traveling by air, the most convenient routes to Salzburg are either a nonstop flight to Salzburg via Frankfurt or flying into Munich and taking a car for the scenic 1.5-hour drive to Salzburg. Both options provide a smooth and enjoyable journey to join us for the festivities.
By Train: Salzburg's main train station, Salzburg Hauptbahnhof, offers extensive rail connections throughout Austria and to neighboring countries. It's a convenient option if you're traveling from within Europe.
By Car: If you're driving to Salzburg, the city is well-connected by the Autobahn and offers scenic routes through the Austrian countryside.
